  • Dr. Ogbonnaya Anicho
Dr. Ogbonnaya Anicho, (Member, IEEE), holds a PhD in Computer Science from Liverpool Hope University, MSc (Distinction) in Telecommunications with Management from University of South Wales and BSc in Computing and Information Technologies from University of Derby. His research work focuses on modelling and simulating multiple High Altitude Platform Stations (HAPS) with autonomous capabilities for communications connectivity. Central to the research is exploring ways of extending broadband connectivity to rural remote locations; a key requirement for participation in the digital economy.

He also has industry experience spanning over 12 years setting up and managing network operations centres (NOCs), managed services platforms and network operations maintenance (O/M) processes for major Network Operators. He is well acquainted with terrestrial, satellite and high altitude systems, related generations of cellular technology and connectivity platforms in general. Currently focused on contributing technical and thought leadership within the HAPS ecosystem and the digital connectivity space in general. ORCID ID: https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4054-9973
