Our Mission
Our mission is to contribute to extending digital connectivity through HAPS by addressing technology and policy related challenges hindering the full adoption of the technology. As a member of the HAPS Alliance, Liverpool Hope understands the urgency in addressing rural connectivity challenges using HAPS and its broader application potentials. HAPS as a technology is expected to become a significant part of the global digital access infrastructure in conjunction with terrestrial and satellite systems.
We have a small team of dedicated research personnel with relevant and varying competencies within aerospace, communications and aerial robotics. Our team employs tools from mathematics, computer science and engineering to tackle challenges within this research domain. The HAPS team also have researchers with extensive industry experience and multi-disciplinary capabilities.
